Breath-Healing Journey

What is connected breathing?
With connected breathing, you skip the pauses between inhaling and exhaling, creating a smooth, circular breathing pattern. This technique activates internal processes in the body and can help you release stuck emotions, traumas, fears, and beliefs that are stored in the subconscious.
Why does breathwork work so well?
By breathing in a circular and somewhat accelerated way, the CO2/O2 balance in your body temporarily changes. You get a little more O2 in your blood for a moment, but at the cellular level, there's a slight shortage. This can cause tingling in your hands, feet, ears, nose, and other spots. The cortex, the thinking part of our brain, also temporarily gets a bit less O2. Of course, the body chooses to first provide enough O2 to the primitive brain or limbic system, which regulates our vital functions. All our emotions are also stored in the limbic system. It's the instinctive part of our brain, also connected to the autonomic nervous system (fight or flight). This system is responsible for processing emotions and memory. So it's also the limbic system that goes on 'alert' daily to protect us from similar unpleasant situations we experienced during childhood. With this breathing therapy, we work with body awareness and directly activate these internal processes.
Benefits: A breathing session affects all levels...
Physical:
Activating the parasympathetic system brings more relaxation and less stress.
Mental:
By paying attention to your breathing and giving your cortex a small break, it's easier to 'switch off' for a bit and connect more deeply with your body. Afterward, people often feel a bit calmer.
Emotional:
Letting go of old patterns, old and suppressed emotions gives a very liberating feeling afterward.
Energetic:
Old, stagnant energy that was stored in the pain body is released again. Cleansing your aura creates space for the flow of new energy. Sometimes this can even feel literally lighter.
These breathing sessions last 75 minutes. It's a relaxed session. Ideal for getting to know me and my work, or for people who aren't very familiar with bodywork and want to give it a try.
In small groups of up to 3 participants.
Monthly on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM:
